6208. TIER 0 STANDARDS

6208 TIER 0 STANDARDS 6208.1 The Tier 0 standards for soil shall be the following: Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), gasoline range organics (GRO), or diesel range organics (DRO) concentrations in soil shall be no greater than one hundred milligrams per kilogram (100 mg/kg); and Individual chemicals of concern concentrations in soil shall not exceed: For benzene: five thousandths of a milligram per kilogram (0.005 mg/kg); For tolulene: nine and six tenths milligrams per kilogram (9.6 mg/kg); For ethylbenzene: four hundredths of a milligram per kilogram (0.04 mg/kg); and For total xylenes: three and eighty-six hundredths of a milligram per kilogram (3.86 mg/kg). 6208.2 The Tier 0 standards for water shall be the following: (a) Levels for ground water quality are the District Water Quality Standards for Ground Water in 21 DCMR § 1155; and (b) Levels for surface water quality are the District Water Quality Standards in 21 DCMR § 1104.
