399. DEFINITIONS

399 DEFINITIONS 399.1 The definitions contained in the Act are incorporated by reference in this chapter and made a part of this chapter. 399.2 In addition to the definitions contained in the Act, the words and phrases in this chapter shall have the meanings ascribed: Act - the District of Columbia Tissue Bank Act, D.C. Code, 2001 Ed. §§ 7 1541.01 to 7 1541.07. Department - the Department of Human Services of the District of Columbia. Director - the Director of Human Services of the District of Columbia, or the Director's duly designated representative. District - the territorial area known as the District of Columbia or the municipal government of the District of Columbia, as the context requires. Operator - the licensee if the licensee is not a hospital; the physician designated by the licensee if the licensee is a hospital; or the physician designated to operate any tissue bank which, under the provisions of §4(e) of the Act, is not required to be licensed.
