8399. DEFINITIONS

8399 DEFINITIONS 8399.1 When used in this chapter, the following terms and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed: Lateral transfer - the movement to a different job classification or department that has the same grade as the current job. Promotion - a transfer of an employee to a higher job classification than his/her current job. Shift change - the movement to a different shift within the same job classification.
