701. MOBILE SOUND UNITS

701 MOBILE SOUND UNITS 701.1 Persons wishing to obtain a permit for a mobile sound unit shall submit an application in writing, or in person, to the Chief of Police. 701.2 Application for a mobile sound unit permit shall be made two (2) weeks before the permit is to be used. 701.3 The applicant shall supply the following information: (a) The applicant's full name, address, and phone number; (b) The name of the organization requesting the permit (if any), and the applicant's official position in the organization; (c) The purpose for the sound unit; and (d) The license number and description of the vehicle to be used. 701.4 Permits shall be issued only for sound units operating for a community, civic, or electoral purpose. 701.5 Permits shall not be issued for commercial advertising purposes. 701.6 All sound units are subject to applicable District laws and regulations governing noise control.
