1000 SERVICE OF NOTICE โ”€ PROPER METHODS 1000.1 A notice issued in accordance with Section 3102 of Title 16 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations and these regulations shall be deemed properly served if it is served by one (1) of the following methods: (a) The notice is personally served by the Department, a law enforcement officer, or a person authorized to serve civil process and service is made to the licensee or person operating a tanning facility without a license; (b) The notice is sent by the Department to the last known address of the licensee or person operating a tanning facility without a license, or by other public means so that a written acknowledgment of receipt may be acquired; or (c) For civil infraction penalties, the notice is provided by the Department in accordance with the procedures stated in Section 3102 of Title 16 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations.
