4007. CONTRACT QUALITY ASSURANCE AT SOURCE

4007 CONTRACT QUALITY ASSURANCE AT SOURCE 4007.1 The District shall perform contract quality assurance, including inspection, at the source in the following circumstances: (a) Performance at any other place would require uneconomical disassembly or destructive testing; (b) Considerable loss would result from the manufacture and shipment of unacceptable goods, or from the delay in making necessary corrections; (c) Specially required instruments, gauges, or facilities are available only at the source; (d) Performance at any other place would destroy or require the replacement of costly special packing and packaging; (e) District inspection during contract performance is essential; or (f) The contracting officer determines that source inspection is in the best interests of the District.
