506. PENALTY FOR PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION

506 PENALTY FOR PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION 506.1 An applicant for employment or a volunteer position with a private entity who provides false information in the course of applying for the position shall be subject to prosecution pursuant to section 404 of the District of Columbia Theft and White Collar Crimes Act of 1982 (D.C. Law 4-164; D.C. Official Code ยง 22-2405), and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned for not more than 180 days, or both.
