804. MARKING OF BALLOTS BY ELECTION OFFICIALS

804 MARKING OF BALLOTS BY ELECTION OFFICIALS 804.1 No election official shall make a mark on any ballot, except for the following reasons: (a) Upon the voter’s request, to assist a voter with the act of voting; (b) To note whether a ballot is partially or totally invalid; (c) To indicate the ballot’s status as a Special Ballot; or (d) To facilitate vote counting procedures, when authorized by the Executive Director or his or her designee. 804.2 The notations of validity or invalidity shall be contained within administrative procedures.
