5299. DEFINITIONS

5299 DEFINITIONS For the purposes of this chapter, the term: “Home Schooling” means an education program conducted, in compliance with this chapter, by the parent or legal guardian; “OSSE” means the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, including any authorized OSSE designee. “Parent or Legal Guardian” means a person having legal custody of a child or children; and “Public School” means a District of Columbia public school, including public charter schools.
