500 COURTESIES 500.1 Members of the force shall at all times treat citizens, associates, and superior officers with respect and civility, and shall, even in the face of provocation refrain from the use of harsh, profane, or abusive language. AUTHORITY: Unless otherwise indicated, the authority of this chapter is An Act, approved February 28, 1901, as amended by An Act approved June 8, 1906, 34 Stat. 222, and para.95 of ยง 402 of Reorganization Plan No. 3 of the D.C.
