1421. SUMMER APPOINTMENTS

1421 SUMMER APPOINTMENTS 1421.1 Summer faculty employment shall be optional with each faculty member. 1421.2 The Dean shall make summer faculty appointments. Full-time members of the faculty shall be given first priority for summer employment. 1421.3 Each regular faculty member to be employed for the summer session shall receive a written contract no later than May 1st. 1421.4 Ordinarily, a full-time summer appointment shall be equivalent to one-half (1/2) of the workload of one (1) academic semester. 1421.5 A separate written contract or amended written contract shall be provided for any additional credit hours or work-load within or beyond the period of time contracted.
