604. ELECTRICAL FACILITIES

604 ELECTRICAL FACILITIES Strike Section 604.2 of the International Property Maintenance Code in its entirety and insert new Section 604.2 in the Property Maintenance Code in its place to read as follows: 604.2 Service. The size and usage of appliances and equipment shall serve as a basis for determining the need for additional facilities in accordance with NFPA 70. Dwelling units shall be served by a three-wire, 120/240 volt, single-phase electrical service having a rating of not less than 60 amperes. Exception: For installations consisting of not more than two 2-wire branch circuits, service disconnecting means shall have a rating of not less than 30 amperes.
