7900 INTRODUCTION 7900.1 This Chapter discusses grievances and appeals pertaining to DCHA’s actions or failures to act that adversely affect public housing applicants or residents. The policies are discussed in the following three (3) parts: Section 7901, Informal Hearings for Public Housing Applicants, outlines the requirements and procedures for informal hearings for public housing applicants; Section 7902, Informal Hearings with Regard to Noncitizens, discusses informal hearings regarding citizenship status and where they differ from the requirements for general applicant and resident grievances; and Section 7903, Grievance Procedures for Public Housing Residents, outlines the requirements and procedures for handling grievances for public housing residents.
