10310 NOTICE OF REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION 10310.1 Any prescriber or dispenser who intends to request information from the Program about a patient or prospective patient shall provide notice to the patient that a request may be made to obtain information on all covered substances dispensed to that patient. The notice may be provided by use of a conspicuous sign in an area that will be easily viewed and read by the patient. 10310.2 In lieu of posting a sign, the prescriber or dispenser may provide notice in written material provided to the patient, or may obtain written consent from the patient.
