2409. AUTHORIZED ELECTRONIC NOTARIAL ACTS

2409 AUTHORIZED ELECTRONIC NOTARIAL ACTS 2409.1 A notary public who has received an electronic notary endorsement from ONCA may perform the following electronic notarial acts: Taking an acknowledgment; Taking verification on oath or affirmation; Witnessing or attesting a signature; Certifying or attesting a copy; and Noting a protest of a negotiable instrument if the notary public is: Licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia; Acting under the authority of an attorney who is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia or another state; or (3) Acting under the authority of a financial institution regulated by the District of Columbia, another state, or the federal government.
