Mandatory training of a notary public.

(a) An applicant for a commission as a notary public in the District that does not already hold such a commission from the Mayor shall satisfactorily complete the training provided by the Mayor. (b) The Mayor shall establish courses of study for notary publics. Trainings shall cover laws, rules, procedures, and ethics relevant to notarial acts.
