Passengers and trailers.

(a) No bicycle shall be used to carry more persons at 1 time than the number for which it is designed or equipped, except that an adult rider may carry a child securely attached to the person in a backpack or sling. (b) A trailer or semitrailer designed for attachment to a bicycle may be used when securely attached thereto.
