Coverage for insulin pumps.

(a) For purposes of this section, “insulin pump” means a small, portable medical device that is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to provide continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion. (b) Carriers shall provide coverage for a medically-necessary insulin pump at no cost in all health benefit plans delivered or issued for delivery under § 505(3) of this title.
