Impounding of dogs running at large.

Any dog found running at large contrary to any of the provisions of this chapter may be impounded and disposed of as provided for in subchapter I of this chapter and any additional rules and regulations the Department may adopt. No impounded dog may be disposed of through humane euthanasia without 5 days’ notification to the owner of the dog, if ownership can be determined, unless earlier disposal through humane euthanasia is recommended by a doctor of veterinary medicine.
