Case No. R-3435 AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECT1ON March 5, 1942 On February 16, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding,' the election to be held as early as possible, but not later than thirty (30) days from the date of the Direction. Case No. R-3435 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES March 31, 1942 -On February 16, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election 1 and on March 5, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued an amendment to the Direction of Election 2 in the above-entitled proceeding. Pursuant to the Direc- tion of Election and Amendment, an election by secret ballot was conducted on March 13, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On March 13, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regula- tions-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees engaged in sorting, grading, and baling in the rag, paper, and cotton departments of the Peoples Iron and Metal Co., Chicago, Illinois, but excluding supervisory, office, and clerical employees, truck drivers and helpers to ' truck drivers, yard sorters and helpers,, yard shearmen, yard -pressmen, operators, yard torchmen, and metal sorters, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Warehouse and Distribution Workers, Local 2-8, affiliated with the C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
