DIRECTION OF ELECTION

The National Labor Relations Board, having found upon an
examination of the record in the above matter that a question affect-
ing commerce has arisen concerning the representation of employees
of Hubinger Company, Keokuk, Iowa, and that the production and
maintenance employees of said company, excluding those employees
of the laboratory department who are engaged in research or experi-
mental work, clerical and office employees, supervisors, foremen, and
executives, constitute a unit appropriate for the purposes of collec-
tive bargaining within the meaning of Section 9 (b) of the National
Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and acting pursuant to the power
vested in it by Section 9 (c) of said Act, and pursuant to Article III,
Section 8 of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regula-
tions-Series 1, as amended, hereby
DIRECTS that, as part of its investigation to ascertain representa-
tives for the purposes of collective bargaining with Hubinger Com-
pany, an election by secret ballot shall be conducted within a period
of fifteen. (15) days after the date of this Direction of Election,
under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the
Thirteenth Region, acting in this matter as the agent of the National
Labor Relations Board and subject to Article III, Section 9 of said
Rules and Regulations-Series 1, as amended, among the production
and maintenance employees of said company who were on the pay-

roll records of said company during the week ending May 22, 1937,
excluding those employees of the laboratory department engaged in
research or experimental work, all clerical and office employees, fore-
men, supervisors and executives, and excluding also those employees
who have quit or been discharged for cause since said date, to deter-
mine whether they desire to be represented, by Corn Products Work-
ers Union No. 19931 or Hubinger Company Employees Representa-
tion Plan for the purposes of collective bargaining, or by neither.
