In the Matter of - THUNDER LAKE LUMBER COMPANY and LUMBER & SAWMILL WORKERS UNION, LOCAL #220, INTERNATIONAL WOOD- WORKERS OF AMERICA (AFFILIATED WITH C. I. 0.) Case No. R-2488 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND ORDER July 10, 1941 On May 16, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Deci- sion and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding. Pursuant to the Direction of Election , an election by secret ballot was conducted on June 6, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twelfth Region (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). On June 9, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended , issued and duly served upon the parties an Elec- tion Report. No obections 2 to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total number eligible to vote_________________________ _______ 182 Total number of ballots cast________________________ ________ 176, Total number of valid ballots _______________________________ 174 Total number of votes in favor of Lumber & Sawmill ; Workers Union, Local #220, International Woodworkers of America (Affiliated with C. B. 928. 2 By letter dated June 11 , 1941 , Lumber & Sawmill Workers Union , Local # 220, Inter- national Woodworkers of America, Affiliated with Congress of Industrial Organizations, protested'the result of the election of June 6 but by letter dated June 28, 1941, it withdrew such protest. 33 N L. B., No. 61. 312 THUNDER LAKE LUMBER COMPANY 313 The results of the Election show that no collective bargaining rep- resentative has been selected by a majority of the employees of the Thunder Lake Lumber Company, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, in the unit heretofore found to be appropriate for collective bargaining. The petition for investigation and certification of representatives will therefore be dismissed. ORDER By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, the National Labor Relations Board hereby orders that the petition for investigation and certification of representatives of employees of Thunder Lake Lumber Company, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, filed herein be, and it hereby is, dismissed.
