Campbell Transportation Co.
In the Matter of CAMPBELL TRANSPORTATION COMPANY and NATIONAL
ORGANIZATION MASTERS, MATES & PILOTS OF AMERICA, LOCAL No. 25
Case No. R-3170
SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION
AND
AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION
December 3, 1941
On November 17, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board, herein
called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Election, in
the above-entitled proceedings,' directing that an election be con-
ducted to determine whether or not certain employees of Campbell
Transportation Company, herein called the Company, desire to be
represented for the purposes of collective bargaining by National
Organization Masters, Mates & Pilots of America, Local No. 25,
herein called the Union. In its Decision and Direction of Election,
the Board stated that in view of the interest asserted by Mississippi
and Ohio River Pilots Association, Inc., herein called the Associa-
tion, it. would entertain a motion for intervention and a request
to participate in the election if the Association presented proof to
the Regional Director for the Sixth Region, within ten (10) days
from the date of the Direction, that it had a substantial interest in
these proceedings.
On November 28, 1941, the Acting Regional Director reported to
the Board with respect to the proof of representation made by the
Association among employees in the appropriate unit.
On the same
day, the Association filed with the Board a motion to intervene
in these proceedings and requested the right to participate in the
election previously ordered and to have its name appear on the ballot
in said election.
We find that the Association has shown a sufficient
interest herein to entitle it to a place on the ballot. In view of the
fact that the Association had not been served with notice of hearing
and therefore had no opportunity to present at that time its proof
of representation, and under all the circumstances, the Association's

We shall amend our Direction of Election accord-

to be represented by National Organization Masters, Mates & Pilots
