5120.4 – General Quality of Care Review: Procedures for Closing Review

The QIO must document in the CMS-designated case review system that the General Quality of
Care Review is being closed by following all applicable requirements, and must place all file
documents in hard copy or electronic file. A QIO may pursue Quality Improvement Initiatives in
accordance with §5125 if deemed appropriate.
