110.4.6 - Reporting Requirements for Combined Financial Statements (Rev. 79, Issued 02-17-06, Effective Date 02-17-06) The combined financial statements described at 42 CFR 422.516(b)(3) must display in separate columns the financial information for the MA organization and each of the parties in interest. Inter-entity transactions must be eliminated in the consolidated column, the statements must have been examined by an independent auditor in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and must include appropriate opinions and notes. Upon written request from an MA organization showing good cause that is determined at the discretion of CMS, CMS may waive the requirement that the organization's combined financial statement include the information required regarding combined financial statements.
