20.5.3 - Home Health Agencies (Rev. 1532, Issued: 06-11-08, Effective: 07-01-08, Implementation: 07-07-08) Home health agencies must submit a bid and be awarded a contract for the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program in order to furnish competitively bid items directly to Medicare beneficiaries who maintain a permanent residence in a CBA. If a home health agency is not awarded a contract to furnish competitively bid items, then they must use a contract supplier for these items.
