40.4 - Payment for Rental of Inexpensive or Routinely Purchased DME (Rev. 1532, Issued: 06-11-08, Effective: 07-01-08, Implementation: 07-07-08) The monthly rental payment amounts for inexpensive or routinely purchased DME (identified using HCPCS modifier RR) are equal to 10 percent of the single payment amount established for purchase of the item.
