40.8.6 - MSP Outpatient Claims Involving Lab Charges Paid by Fee Schedule (Rev. 11550; Issued: 08-12-22; Effective: 10-13-22; Implementation:10-13-22) The following procedures describe how to prorate primary payments for MSP outpatient claims that include charges for clinical diagnostic lab services (paid on the basis of 100 percent of a fee schedule) and charges for non-lab services (subject to the regular deductible and coinsurance requirement) when a primary payer pays in part for the services, without designating how much of its payment is for each type of service.
