5460.1 - Hospital Is In Compliance - No Past Violation (Rev. 243; Issued: 06-12-26; Effective: 06-12-26; Implementation: 06-12-26) If the CMS location determines that the allegation is not substantiated and that the hospital is in compliance with 42 CFR 489.24 and/or the related requirements at 42 CFR 489.20, the CMS location notifies the hospital and forwards a copy of the letter to the SA. If the SA received the complaint, it notifies the complainant that the complaint was not substantiated. If the CMS location received the complaint, the CMS location notifies the complainant.
