What if my state or Tribal plan is not approvable?

If you do not submit a state or Tribal plan (or a negative declaration letter) by January 22, 2027, or if EPA disapproves your state plan, EPA will develop a Federal plan according to § 60.27a(c) through (f) to implement the emission guidelines contained in this subpart. [90 FR 35984, July 31, 2025]
