What is this subpart's authority and scope?

This subpart contains the rules and procedures that apply to the process for determining the heirs of any person who dies entitled to receive compensation under the White Earth Reservation Land Settlement Act of 1985, Public Law 99-264 (100 Stat. 61), amended by Public Law 100-153 (101 Stat. 886), Public Law 100-212 (101 Stat. 1443), Public Law 101-301 (104 Stat. 210), and Public Law 103-263 (103 Stat. 707). See subparts A and B of this part for the authority and jurisdiction of presiding officers and the Board of Indian Appeals, Office of Hearings and Appeals, and the rules generally applicable to proceedings before them.
