Reliance on qualification requirements of other countries.

A Canadian railroad that is required to comply with this regulation or a railroad that conducts joint operations with a Canadian railroad may certify that a person is eligible to be a conductor provided it determines that: (a) The person is employed by the Canadian railroad; and (b) The person meets or exceeds the qualifications standards issued by Transport Canada for such service.
