SEC. 1823. LIMITATIONS ON TRADE READJUSTMENT ALLOWANCES; ALLOWANCES FOR EXTENDED TRAINING AND BREAKS IN TRAINING. Section 233(a) of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2293(a)) is amended—(1) in paragraph (2), by inserting “under paragraph (1)” after “trade readjustment allowance”; and(2) in paragraph (3)—(A) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A)—(i) by striking “training approved for him” and inserting “a training program approved for the worker”;(ii) by striking “52 additional weeks” and inserting “78 additional weeks”; and(iii) by striking “52-week” and inserting “91-week”; and123 STAT. 378(B) in the matter following subparagraph (B), by striking “52-week” and inserting “91-week”.
