SEC. 603. BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR HOUSING FOR TWO-MEMBER COUPLES WHEN ONE MEMBER IS ON SEA DUTY.(a) In General.—Subparagraph (C) of section 403(f)(2) of title 37, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:“(C) Notwithstanding section 421 of this title, a member of a uniformed service in a pay grade below pay grade E–6 who is assigned to sea duty and is married to another member of a uniformed service is entitled to a basic allowance for housing subject to the limitations of subsection (e).”.(b) Effective Date.—The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on January 1, 2013.126 STAT. 1774
