REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF PROPERTY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED BY HURRICANE HUGO

SEC. 1607. REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF PROPERTY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED BY HURRICANE HUGO (a) Subject to subsection (b), the Secretary of Defense may take such action as he considers necessary to repair damage to real property, facilities, equipment, and other property of the Department of Defense caused by hurricane Hugo in September 1989 or to replace any such property damaged beyond economical repair by that hurricane. (b) The authority of the Secretary under subsection (a) is subject to the availability of appropriations that may be used for the purposes described in such subsection.
