SEC. 302. CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HOUSING ECONOMIC RENT.Section 3(a)(2) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 is amended— (1) in subparagraph (A), by striking “3-year” and inserting “5-year”; and (2) in subparagraph (B)— (A) by striking “3-year” and inserting “5-year”; and (B) by adding at the end the following: “The terms of all ceiling rents established prior to the date of enactment of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989 shall be extended for the 5-year period beginning on such date of enactment.”.
