SEC. 852. CONSIDERATION OF CORROSION CONTROL IN PRELIMINARY DESIGN REVIEW. The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics shall ensure that Department of Defense Instruction 5000.02 and other applicable guidance require full consideration, during preliminary design review for a product, of metals, materials, and technologies that effectively prevent or control corrosion over the life cycle of the product.
