EXTENSION OF CERTAIN EXPIRING PROGRAMS.
SEC. 201. EXTENSION OF CERTAIN EXPIRING PROGRAMS. (a) Respite Care.—Section 620B(c) is amended by striking out “September 30, 1989” and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30, 1992”. (b) State Home Grant Authority.—Section 5033(a) is amended by striking out “September 30, 1990” and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30, 1992”. (c) Homeless Veterans.—Section 115(d) of the Veterans’ Benefits and Services Act of 1988 (Public Law 100–322; 102 Stat. 501) is amended by striking out “September 30, 1989” and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30, 1992”. (d) Annual Report on Means Test for Furnishing Non-Service-Connected Health Care —Section 19011(e)(1) of the Veterans’ Health Care Amendments of 1986 (title XIX of Public Law 99–272; 100 Stat. 379) is amended by striking out “and 1988” and inserting in lieu thereof “, 1988 and 1989”. (e) Updates of Reports Under Section 110(e) of Public Law 98–528.—(1) Not later than February 1, 1990, the Special Committee on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (hereinafter in this subsection referred to as the “Special Committee”) established pursuant to section 110(b)(1) of the Veterans’ Health Care Act of 1984 (Public Law 98–528; 98 Stat 2691) shall submit concurrently to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives (hereinafter in this subsection referred to as the “Committees”) a report containing information updating the reports submitted by the Secretary under section 110(e) of such Act, together with any additional information the Special Committee considers appropriate regarding the overall efforts of the Department of Veterans Affairs to meet the needs of veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological problems in readjusting to civilian life. (2) Not later than 60 days after receiving the report under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall submit to the Committees any comments concerning the report that the Secretary considers appropriate.
