SEC. 172. EXTENSION OF SHORTFALL FUNDING METHOD AND ENDANGERED AND CRITICAL RULES.(a) In General.—Paragraphs (1) and (2) of section 221(c) of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 are each amended by striking “December 31, 2014” and inserting “December 31, 2015”.(b) Conforming Amendment.—Paragraph (2) of section 221(c) of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 is amended by striking “January 1, 2015” and inserting “January 1, 2016”.(c) Effective Date.—The amendments made by this section shall apply to plan years beginning after December 31, 2014.
