SEC. 6134. STUDY OF PAYMENT FOR PORTABLE X-RAY SERVICES. The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall conduct a study of the costs of furnishing, and payments for, portable x-ray services under part B of title XVIII of the Social Security Act. Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall report to Congress on the results of such study and shall include a recommendation respecting whether payment for such services should be made in the same manner as for radiologists’ services or on the basis of a separate fee schedule.
