SEC. 3603. ASSISTANCE TO AIRPORTS AND SURFACE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS. Subsection (a) of section 2008 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 609) is amended—(1) by redesignating paragraphs (9) through (13) as paragraphs (10) through (14), respectively; and(2) by inserting after paragraph (8) the following new paragraph:“(9) enhancing the security and preparedness of secure and nonsecure areas of eligible airports and surface transportation systems;”.
