SEC. 246. REPORT ON OA–X LIGHT ATTACK AIRCRAFT APPLICABILITY TO PARTNER NATION SUPPORT.(a) Report Required.—Not later than February 1, 2019, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the OA–X light attack aircraft experiment and how the program incorporates partner nation requirements.(b) Elements.—The report under subsection (a) shall include a description of—(1) how the OA–X light attack experiment will support partner nations’ low-cost counter terrorism light attack capability;(2) the extent to which the attributes of affordability, interoperability, sustainability, and simplicity of maintenance and operations are included in the requirements for the OA–X; and(3) how Federal Aviation Administration certification and a reasonable path for military type certifications for commercial derivative aircraft are factored into foreign military sales for a partner nation.
