SEC. 9132. 2-YEAR EXTENSION OF FOSTER CARE CEILING AND OF AUTHORITY TO TRANSFER FOSTER CARE FUNDS TO CHILD WELFARE SERVICES. (a) In General.— Section 474 of the Social Security Act is amended— 101 STAT. 1330–314 (1) in paragraphs (1), (2)(A)(iii), (2)(B), (4)(B), and (5)(A)(ii) of subsection (b), by striking “through 1987” and inserting “through 1989”; (2) in paragraph (5)(A) of subsection (b) (in the matter preceding clause (i)), by striking “October 1, 1987” and inserting “October 1, 1989”; and (3) in paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection (c), by striking “through 1987” and inserting “through 1989”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendments made by subsection (a) shall become effective October 1, 1987.
