CREDITING TO THE FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT ACCOUNT OF INTEREST EARNED ON ADVANCES TO THE STATES.

SEC. 9156. CREDITING TO THE FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT ACCOUNT OF INTEREST EARNED ON ADVANCES TO THE STATES. (a) In General.— Section 1202 of the Social Security Act is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: “(c) Interest paid by States in accordance with this section shall be credited to the Federal unemployment account established by section 904(g) in the Unemployment Trust Fund.”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to interest paid on advances made on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
