SEC. 402. ELIGIBLE ENTITIES. The third sentence of section 673(1) of the Community Services Block Grant Act (42 U.S.C. 9902(1)) is amended— (1) by striking “In” and inserting “If’, (2) by striking “not presently” and inserting “is not, or ceases to be,”, (3) by striking “Governor” and inserting “chief executive officer”. (4) in subparagraph (C) by inserting after “new area.” the following: “In making a designation under this subparagraph, such chief executive officer shall give priority to such organization.”, and (5) by striking “The Governor’s” and inserting “Such officer’s”.
