SEC. 701. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter—(1) Covid-19 public health emergency.—The term “COVID-19 public health emergency” means a public health emergency declared or renewed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d) based on an outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).(2) Secretary.—The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Agriculture.(3) Supplemental nutrition assistance program.—The term “supplemental nutrition assistance program” has the meaning given such term in section 3(t) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012(t)).(4) SNAP.—The term “SNAP” refers to the supplemental nutrition assistance program.
