SEC. 5118. SUSPENSION OF DEPENDENT’S BENEFITS WHEN THE WORKER IS IN AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF ELIGIBILITY. (a) In General.—Section 223(e) (42 U.S.C. 623(e)) is amended by— (1) by inserting “(1)” after “(e)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(2) No benefit shall be payable under section 202 on the basis of the wages and self-employment income of an individual entitled to a benefit under subsection (a)(l) of this section for any month for which the benefit of such individual under subsection (a)(1) is not payable under paragraph (1).”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to benefits for months after the date of the enactment of this Act,
