SEC. 363. REPORT ON ESTABLISHING NEW NAVAL RESERVE TRAINING CENTER AT NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND Not later than six months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Navy shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the desirability of establishing a new Naval Reserve Training Center within the Naval Education and Training Center at Newport, Rhode Island, to serve as the principal Naval Reserve104 STAT. 1543 training center on the East Coast for surface warfare. The report shall consider the desirability of including within the training facilities of such a Reserve Training Center the FF-1052 frigates stationed as of the date of the enactment of this Act at the Naval Education and Training Center at Newport, Rhode Island, and of planning for the use of those frigates in the event of a mobilization.
