BAGGAGE AND HOUSEHOLD WEIGHT ALLOWANCE FOR CADETS AND MIDSHIPMEN

SEC. 622. BAGGAGE AND HOUSEHOLD WEIGHT ALLOWANCE FOR CADETS AND MIDSHIPMEN (a) In General.— Section 406(b)(1) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: “(E) Under regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Defense, cadets at the United States Military Academy and the United States Air Force Academy, and midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy shall be entitled, in connection with a change of temporary or permanent station, to transportation of baggage and household effects as provided in subparagraph (A) of this paragraph. The weight allowance for such cadets and midshipmen shall be 350 pounds.”. (b) Application of Amendment.— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall be applicable to baggage and household effects transported on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
