ANNUAL PRESENTATION FOR CONGRESSIONAL DEFENSE LEADERSHIP ON UNITED STATES NATIONAL MILITARY STRATEGY
SEC. 1469. ANNUAL PRESENTATION FOR CONGRESSIONAL DEFENSE LEADERSHIP ON UNITED STATES NATIONAL MILITARY STRATEGY (a) Sense of Congress.— It is the sense of Congress that the President should provide for an annual presentation to be given to the congressional defense leaders named in subsection (b) on the national military strategy of the United States. That presentation should particularly cover the theater and strategic nuclear components of the national military strategy and should include a discussion of (1) nuclear targeting policy and requirements, and (2) the implications of such nuclear targeting policy and requirements for (A) theater and strategic nuclear force structure and operations, and (B) defense resources and their allocation. (b) Definition.— The congressional defense leaders referred to in subsection (a) are— (1) the chairmen and ranking minority members of the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives; and (2) the chairmen and ranking minority members of the Defense Subcommittees of the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives.
